3PL Worldwide announced the company is delivering its own economic stimulus package to Milford and the Southern Connecticut region with the hiring of more than 150 new employees, including warehouse, call center and management positions.
MILFORD, CONNECTICUT, Mar 15, 2012 – 3PL Worldwide, a leading North American provider of fulfillment, logistics and contact center services, today announced the company is delivering its own economic stimulus package to Milford and the Southern Connecticut region with the hiring of more than 150 new employees, including warehouse, call center and management positions. The company also announced that it has signed Distinctive Apparel, Inc., as a new client.
The agreement to provide order entry, order fulfillment and customer service for Distinctive Apparel, Inc. of Taunton, Massachusetts represents a milestone in penetration of the U.S. apparel sector, one of 3PL Worldwide’s primary target markets.
As a result of expanded demand across its e-commerce, direct response and multi-channel retail business sectors, 3PL Worldwide has also announced the completion of a 78,000 square foot expansion to its facilities in Milford, Connecticut. The expansion increases storage and transaction capacity of the company’s east coast operations and includes technology investments, operational and facility upgrades – allowing for the packaging and shipment of 10,000 additional packages and approximately 5,000 additional daily customer calls to the 3PL Worldwide east coast contact center.
