Seaford, Delaware, September 23, 2011 - In celebration of National Truck Driver Appreciation week September 11th-17th, Trinity Transport hosted a Best Truck Driver Contest to recognize all the hard work and commitment of our nation’s truck drivers. The grand prize winner received $1,000 prize for their designation as the “Best Truck Driver” nominee.

The inaugural year’s grand prize winner was Albert Adams, a driver for Melton Truck Lines. Albert was nominated by his wife Camille and is currently listed as an Ambassador of the Road and received Melton’s Driver of the Year award in 2009.  In his 14 year career with Melton Truck Lines, he has driven over 1.5 million miles. Albert is also a safety trainer and is known for his hard work, dedication, and taking pride in his work.

The 2nd place winner was Jeff Stocke, receiving a $100 prize. Jeff is a driver for Advanced Transport, Inc.  He was nominated by his daughter Vanessa, who not only admires him, but strives to follow in his footsteps. Jeff was nominated for his hard work, dedication, professionalism, and his friendly and helpful ways. The 3rd prize winner was Bob Thorpe, receiving a $25 prize. Bob is a Driver for FedEx.  Bob has gone out of his way for others and always makes sure that he touches base about loads so that no one is left in the dark.  Bob is being recognized for going above and beyond!
