CEVA appoints John Gould as its new Managing Director Middle East
Dubai, UAE, 17 May 2010 – CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, has announced the appointment of John Gould as Managing Director Middle East. Based in Dubai, he will report to Gianfranco Sgro, President for CEVA in Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
John will assume overall responsibility for the growth and the operations of CEVA’s Contract Logistics and Freight Management businesses in the Middle East. John will be in charge of implementing the strategies and plans to achieve the objectives of the Region, according to market conditions and the competitive situation. He will also reinforce the organizational structure, devoting time to employee development and promoting teamwork and cooperation.
Born in 1964, John Gould has spent his over 20-year career in several senior roles in the supply chain industry and with a long tenure in the Gulf countries. He started his logistics career with DHL holding business various business development roles. From 1991 to 2007 he worked for UPS, achieving the role of Division Manager Middle East and Africa. In 2007 he joined Agility, a global provider of integrated logistics, and most recently was CEO for Saudi Arabia.
