Birmingham, UK, 19 July, 2011 - CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, has been recognized at this year’s prestigious annual AEO Excellence Awards, with CEVA’s Showfreight team named as Official Contractor of the Year and Supplier Team of the Year for the IT team.

The awards hosted by the Association of Event Organizers (AEO), held earlier this month and attended by more than 1,200 professionals, acknowledge and reward the UK events industry for excellent products and business performance over the past 12 months. 

The judging panel commented: “CEVA submitted an impressive Official Contractor of the Year entry, illustrating how they used their initiative to overcome unseen and significant challenges.  New technology and systems, combined with significant retraining, achieved massive increases in efficiency and reductions in costs, resulting in CEVA’s IT team winning the Supplier Team of the Year award.” 

The tribute to CEVA’s Showfreight team made by the industry endorses the company’s innovative approach to delivering an outstanding and unrivalled quality service.

Showfreight was established as a specialist business unit of CEVA in 1994, fulfilling the specific logistics needs of event and exhibition organizations.  Customers include Shell, Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, Bridgestone, Yamaha and Team Suzuki.
