Hong Kong, August 6, 2010 - Logwin, a global leader in air and ocean freight and logistics services, has announced the appointment of Jimmy Chow as Country Director for Southern China and Hong Kong.
Chow has 35 years experience in freight forwarding and logistics and started his career with Rhenus before joining Schenker where he worked in senior management positions in Hong Kong and South China for more than 20 years. He most recently worked in senior management for M&R Spedag Group.
Chow’s region includes Hong Kong, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi and Yunnan Provinces and he will focus on building Logwin’s sales capability and office network across southern China.

Logwin will be focusing on opportunities in *Pan Pearl River Delta to develop growing trade between ASEAN, India and China. Chow also highlighted wanting to build the company’s presence in **cross straits trade between Fujian and Taiwan.
In other news Logwin also appointed Patrick Lee as Finance Manager, Southern China and Hong Kong and Rudi Lai as General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Southern China and Hong Kong.

**Cross straits trade refers primarily to the shipping links between Taiwan and Mainland China across the Taiwan Straits. Fujian is the closest mainland province to Taiwan and there has been a dramatic increase in trade in recent years.
