Rail and Intermodal Providers’ Agreement Includes Improved Transits

GREEN BAY, Wis. – June 11, 2012 – Schneider National, Inc., the premier provider of truckload, intermodal and logistics services, announced today that it has reached an agreement with CSX Transportation to broaden its services in Northwestern Ohio. The agreement expands Schneider’s intermodal service to now include two rail ramps in the region: Marion and North Baltimore.

Within the United States, the new agreement will broaden Schneider Intermodal’s service to the Northeast, Southeast and Pacific Northwest. In addition, improved transits will enhance service capability throughout the U.S. and Mexico while enabling more multi-modal options for shippers.

CSX became Schneider’s primary Eastern rail provider in 2008. In January 2012, Schneider and CSX announced a multiyear agreement under which the railroad will continue to serve as one of Schneider’s primary rail providers. The agreement provides Schneider customers with capacity and operational interfaces to leverage the efficiency of rail moves.

Schneider provides complete North American intermodal coverage. In addition to service coverage in the East with CSX, it moves loads in the West with BNSF, as well as Canadian and Mexican border-crossings with the CN and Kansas City Southern railroads.
