Total Quality Logisitics LogoCINCINNATI – The new year is a new chance for Total Quality Logistics to demonstrate its commitment to the communities team members live and work.

Employees at TQL contributed to a record-breaking 2014 and celebrated their success with substantial end-of-year philanthropic gifts to several charities.

Team members across the country selected how they wanted to allocate a $50,000 company gift divided among the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, Wounded Warriors, United Service Organizations, Toys for Tots, Salvation Army, Freestore Foodbank, Feeding America, Boys & Girls Club of America, and the Jimmy V Foundation.

“We are very aware of the many needs of the communities in which we operate,” said TQL executive vice president, Kerry Byrne. “Our company is fortunate to be in a growth mode, allowing us to create jobs and help many worthwhile organizations across the country.”

That growth manifested itself the company’s best year to date in sales. TQL reached $2 billion in annual sales for the first time in early December, easily eclipsing its previous-best sales year of $1.6 billion in 2013.

In addition, TQL set another record at the end of the month when it brokered its one millionth freight load for 2014. The Dec. 26 shipment marked the first time the company reached seven figures in loads, surpassing the more-than 815,000 loads it moved in 2013.

TQL’s social investments focus on children, education, health, wellness, and military support. Employees enjoy participating in unique fundraising events that reflect the company’s team spirit and high-energy culture.
TQL has given more than $3 million to charitable organizations across the country over the last four years. Individual satellite offices and team members financially support and volunteer with countless organizations close to their own hearts.

Beyond the end-of-year giving, some of TQL’s most popular 2014 fundraising and volunteer efforts included the Loads for a Cure program in which one dollar from every load moved between October 20 and 26 went to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fund. Movember saw employees grow moustaches to raise funds and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer research. The Moves that Matter program launched in June to benefit non-profit organizations using the truckload transportation industry. Customers, carriers, and employees nominated recipients based on shipments they helped arrange or haul.
