Ben Cubitt Selected by Supply & Demand Chain Executive as a 2012 Pro to Know for Exceptional Leadership in Navigating Supply Chain Challenges

February 28, 2012 (Dallas, TX) – Transplace, a leading provider of transportation management services and logistics technology solutions, today announced that Senior Vice President of Engineering and Consulting Ben Cubitt has been selected by Supply & Demand Chain Executive (S&DCE) as one of its 2012 Practitioner Pros to Know. In its twelfth-annual edition of Pros to Know, the magazine identified outstanding supply chain executives that exemplify leadership in developing tools and processes necessary to prepare their companies' supply chains for the significant challenges ahead.

"Supply Chain is increasingly recognized as a strategic differentiator for leading small, medium and large enterprises, and Supply Chain leaders have become crucial to the success of the enterprise in meeting the challenges of what truthfully has been called a turbulent economy,” said Barry Hochfelder, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “Our annual Practitioner Pros to Know listing highlights many of these outstanding executives and their accomplishments, and it offers a roadmap for other leaders looking to leverage Supply Chain for competitive advantage.”

Supply & Demand Chain Executive, which has created three separate sets of criteria for the Practitioner, Supply Chain Team and the Provider Pros to Know, requested nominations for Pros to Know late last year.  Beginning in January, the magazine's editorial selection committee culled through more than 325 submissions to find the applicants that best fit the criteria. The men and women included in the 2012 list exemplify the talent, knowledge, skills and effort necessary for supply chain leadership.

“It is an honor to be regarded as a Pro to Know by a distinguished publication like Supply & Demand Chain Executive and a privilege to be included among such esteemed and knowledgeable peers,” said Cubitt. “Transplace works hard to align our strategy with each of our customers and support their corporate goals. To do this effectively, we bring operational and technology excellence along with knowledge of freight optimization best practices. Transplace’s strategy has to be aligned with the customers’ broader strategy and focused on both short and long term opportunities, challenges and risks.”
