CEVA provides unique light manufacturing services in Turkey; Partnership extended to almost 20 years
Istanbul, Turkey, 5 September, 2013 – CEVA Logistics, one of the world’s leading supply chain management companies, has extended its 14 year partnership with Vileda, Europe’s pioneering cleaning brand and house cleaning solutions provider. Under the terms of the deal, CEVA will continue carrying Vileda’s wide range of products to its 320 distributors and chain stores across Turkey.
CEVA will provide Vileda with warehousing, value added and domestic distribution services from CEVA’s new 70,000 sq m facility in Gebze. Products include Vileda branded mops and mop refills, buckets, dusters, cloths and scourers. CEVA will also be responsible for production and raw material procurement planning for 340 different product lines, equaling around 2.4 million kg inbound and outbound products each month.
A unique part of the contract is that CEVA is responsible for some light manufacturing on behalf of Vileda; cutting and assembling, packaging and grouping the items, prior to storing the products ready for distribution to a large number of retailers throughout the country.
