Strong market conditions drive widespread industry support
Air Freight Asia 2011, the region’s foremost exhibition and conference for air cargo and supply chain sector, is attracting strong industry support in the midst of booming market conditions across Asia. Major international exhibitors already committed to the show include Air Bridge Cargo, Etihad Airways,HACTL, Hong Kong International Airport, International Cargo Centre Shenzhen, Kingfisher Airways, United Cargo and World Airways. The event will be held alongside Asian Aerospace 2011 at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong 8th-10th March.
Air Freight Asia 2011 is looking forward to large scale attendance from China, having received official endorsements from both the China Aviation Transportation Association (CATA) and the China Civil Airport Association (CCAA), the two most influential national industry trade bodies. CATA represents the joint interests of more than 50 airlines, air freight forwarders, logistics companies, aviation academies and regional associations, whilst CCAA membership extends to almost 100 individual airports & airport groups that handle 99% of passenger and freight traffic across the country.
Air Freight Asia 2011 will feature a new Supply Chain Management dimension, which will include a Logistics Pavilion showcasing the latest products and services in this sector for the first time. An associated conference will be organised in co-operation with the Global Supply Chain Council, an influential industry body that represents 60,000 logistics professionals. The conference will take an in-depth look at developments across China’s air freight and logistics sectors, with particular focus on the government’s future strategy. Other dynamic markets destined to draw attention at the conference include South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam.
The China Logistics Club, an industry forum that supports freight forwarders and logistics specialists, will be co-operating with Reed Exhibitions to organise Cargo Networking Days and individual meetings for both its members and visiting delegates. The Airport Authority of Hong Kong will also be opening its doors to attendees interested in viewing its logistics facilities.
Air Freight Asia 2009 brought together a powerful “who’s who” of the global air cargo industry spanning airport operators, freight forwarders, air cargo agents, terminals, airlines, charter brokers and shippers. Some 94% of attendees said the event was important for their business, while 97% reported they “achieved their commercial objectives”.
