EU Issues Fourth Report on Potentially Trade Restrictive Measures

E-mail

EU issues Fourth report on potentially trade restrictive measures in the context of the global economic crisis for the 133 Committee. The report on trade restrictive measures and trade distorting tendencies covers the period between 1 June and 1 September 2009 and aims at monitoring compliance with the G-20 standstill commitments with regard to the imposition of new trade restrictive measures in the context of the global economic recession. It continues to provide input for the World Trade Organisation's (WTO) own surveillance mechanism of new trade and trade-related measures, conducted on a quarterly basis.
