Connie events will honor deserving industry leaders making extraordinary contributions to the trade and transportation industry
 
HOLMDEL, NJ (August 12, 2013) -- The Containerization & Intermodal Institute (CII) is seeking nominations for the 2013/ 2014 prestigious annual Connie Awards. Named for the container, the Connie Award has been presented every year since 1972 to those who have made outstanding contributions to the containerization and intermodal industry, including those involved with rail, shipping, ports, importers and exporters, 3PLs, technology, government officials and the media.

"The prestigious Connie Award draws attendees from across the country. We're seeking nominations nationwide for all facets involved in trade," said Michael DiVirgilio, CII President.

The September 26, 2013 Connie event in Long Beach will honor John McLaurin. Nominations are being sought for the Connie luncheon in December in Newark, NJ and in both Long Beach and Newark for 2014.
