London, 03rd June 2010, Retail Business Technology Expo, the brand new event focusing on business solutions and technology for the retail industry, has received an excellent response from the UK retail industry since its launch in April, with a number of high profile exhibitors already confirmed.
One of the first exhibitors to sign up was the major printer and POS equipment manufacturer Star Micronics. Annette Tarlton, Marketing Director, said, “It’s about time a dedicated retail technology show came back to the UK. Retailers of all sizes need to see new ideas and solutions to today’s challenges from UK suppliers without taking days out of their schedule and a show of this quality is the right place for suppliers to present them.”
Tarlton’s comments echo the responses that the event has received, with retailers including Paul Forester, IT Director, Monsoon Accessorize, Gary Barr, IT Director, Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC, Tom Scott, Head of Business Solutions UK, Kingfisher plc and Ian Woosey, Group IT and e-commerce Director, Carpetright plc, joining the extensive list of high-level retailers on the events steering committee.
