State-of-Art Center Relocated, Improved Functionality for Tracking Cargo

August 25, 2010.  Austin, TX – FreightWatch International, the leading global logistics security solutions provider, announced today that it has upgraded its Mexico City Command & Control Center, the company’s state-of-the-art center designed for tracking product loads throughout Mexico.

“The systems, software and hardware upgrades translate to faster service with enhanced security and directly impacts the security of our clients’ shipments,” stated Rigo Garcia, General Manager of FreightWatch International, Mexico.  “The upgrades were implemented to ensure that we are constantly on the cutting edge of tracking capabilities, increasing our abilities to prevent cargo theft or recover loads in the event of a theft.”

The upgraded center is larger than the original, is away from high traffic areas, upgraded with the latest systems and tracking information, and offers increased back up capacity and security.  In addition, the company has a back up Command & Control Center in an undisclosed location in Mexico City for emergencies or power outages.

Each FreightWatch region has a minimum of one Command & Control Center with state-of-the-art tracking capabilities and experienced staff that actively monitors client shipments from point of origin to destination.
