June 22, 2011 – Bad Homburg v. d. H. - Kewill (LSE: KWL), a leading provider of global trade and logistics software, has appointed Andreas Giger as Product Manager Customs EMEA.
In his position, Andreas Giger will be responsible for the customs solutions in the European, Middle East and African markets (EMEA). This includes Kewill CustomsXchange (KCX), an electronic solution that enables Kewill clients to comply with international customs regulatory requirements via one central connection.
Based in Germany, Andreas Giger will support Kewill’s focus on driving growth and expanding the customs solutions business following on from our recent successes in launching new global trade solutions such as Kewill Import Control System (ICS), Excise Movement and Control System (EMCS) and TMS Quick Start.
Prior to joining Kewill, Andreas Giger held senior management positions with JPMorgan Chase Vastera for seven years as Director Operations EMEA, where he was responsible for the operational and customer relationships. Before that, he worked at IFCO Systems as Director Logistics, with responsibility for the management of the company’s worldwide logistics. Andreas Giger furthermore gained 15 years of domain experience at TNT Express GmbH as Manager Operations Development.
