Holland, Mich., Mar. 2, 2010 – LeanLogistics, a global leader in innovative SaaS transportation technology and supply chain services, announced today the successful completion of their Statement of Audit Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) Type II audit. The SAS70 audit was conducted by the independent audit firm of Plante & Moran, PLLC and the certification demonstrates LeanLogistics continued commitment to strict controls in an effective service model.
The SAS 70 certification, developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is a widely recognized auditing standard to annually audit and report on the effectiveness of operations and controls of service organizations. The industry recognized audit ensures the integrity of the service organization while fully reviewing all security platforms for efficient and protected business practices.
“SAS70 certification further demonstrates the security of our platform and systems,” commented LeanLogistics President Dan Dershem. “Our mirrored data systems, procedures and processes assure our clients the utmost security, accountability and reliability of their data.”
Along with the SAS 70 completion, LeanLogistics updated functionality in the On-Demand TMS® 10.1.0 Release, which became available Feb. 15, 2010. The updated features and enhancements use strengthened technology to maximize user benefits from the TM, including Freight Claims, Bill of Lading and Tours enhancements and as well as added Supplier Shipments Report function providing suppliers the ability to run reports to manage labor, verify all shipments are ready for pickup, and to identify which carriers are scheduled from the SIM portal.
