August 3, 2010 (Dallas, TX) – Transplace, a leading provider of transportation management services and logistics technology solutions, today announced the appointment of Ben Cubitt to lead the Transplace consulting team into its next phase of growth. Mr. Cubitt joins the company as its senior vice president, consulting & strategic services.

With more than 20 years in supply chain and logistics, Ben Cubitt has a deep familiarity in the field working for consulting firms and a number of Fortune 500 companies, mainly in the in the consumer products, paper and automotive industries. His experiences have focused on supply chain management strategy, transportation management and distribution optimization. Prior to Transplace, Mr. Cubitt was the vice president, supply chain for RockTenn, a leading paper and packaging manufacturer. Prior to RockTenn he led the transportation strategy and consulting practices at Adjoined Consulting [now CapGemini] and Tompkins Associates. In these roles, Mr. Cubitt helped Fortune 1000 companies and leading supply chain industry 3PLs to optimize their supply chain and transportation operations.
