TEUs of Non-Vessel-Operating Common Carriers (NVOs) showed negative growth in December with the top 100 NVOs posting a 7% decrease from November 2010 and a 16.8% increase from December 2009. The year 2010 as a whole for all NVOs posted a noteworthy increase of 36% from the year 2009. The large majority of growth was seen in the summer months of 2010.

Over 70% of the top 100 NVOs showed positive growth over December 2009, whereas only 28% of the top 100 NVOs posted positive growth over November 2010. Most notably, United Cargo Management and Interglobo North America posted large TEU increases over November with values up 20.86% and 15.4% respectively.
