TEUs of the top 100 Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOs) dropped off from the high levels seen in January of this year. February TEUs decreased 13.03% over January 2011 and increased 9.35% over February 2010. About 15% of the top NVOs posted positive growth from January 2011, whereas about 65% posted positive growth from last February.
The top NVO, Expeditors International of Washington, posted a decrease of 16% from January to February of this year and only increased TEU volume .37% compared to February 2010. The second ranked NVO, Blue Anchor Line, is close behind Expeditors and posted a larger gain of 9.78% over last February.
