The top 100 NVOs in the United States increased in imports by 8.84% from December to January, but showed a decrease of nearly 5% from January of last year. Total TEU imports for the U.S. increased 6.9% from December and also increased slightly from last January.

Out of the top 100 NVOs, 70% saw an increase from December. The increases were mostly seen for NVOs shipping from Asia to the United States. Expeditors, the number one NVO on our list, saw a significant increase of 16% from last December, but a drop of nearly 5% from last January. Orient Express started the year out on a strong note, with a 25% increase from December and a 1.6% increase from January of 2012. Blue Anchor Line and Schenkerocean are the only NVOs within the top ten list that saw decreases from December. Overall, imports for January showed positive signs for the start of 2013.
