July was a strong month for the top Non-Vessel-Operating Common Carriers (NVOs), with most of the top 100 carriers transporting significantly more TEUs than the previous month. TEUs carried by the top 100 NVOs in July 2010 grew by an average of 109% over June 2010 and by 160% of July 2009. However, overall TEUs in July dropped by 6,319 from June 2010 or 1.01%.
Schenkerocean Limited (SHKK) and City Ocean Logistics Co Ltd (CTYO) showed some of the most impressive growth, up 370.55% and 5,013.76% respectively over June 2010. China Container Line Ltd (CCJL) was one of the few top 100 NVOs to post negative growth, dropping 5.49% from June 2010 and 8.40% from July 2009.
