The inbound shipping activity for the top 100 Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOs), measured in TEUs, increased by nearly 8% from June to July. Compared to July 2011, inbound TEUs for the top NVOs increased by 10.2%. July’s increase comes after a 3% drop in June. Typically, July and August post high import volumes due to retailers stocking up before the holiday bustle.

Blue Anchor Line, ranked second on our list, increased inbound TEUs by nearly 15% from June. Other notable NVOs this month include Schenkerocean Limited and Pantainer Express Line, ranked 7th and 9th respectively, have seen large increases in the past year. The coming month should see even higher import volume as the holiday approaches. Which NVOs will be the ones to pick up market share?
