U.S. TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units) imports for the top 100 NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) declined by a 0.1% from June to July this year but are up over 11 percent compared to July of last year. These NVOs handled over 503,000 TEUs in July, which is 28 percent of the 1.8 million TEUs imported for the month.
Out of the top 100 NVOs, 52 percent increased in imports from June to July and 78 percent increased from July of 2014. The top three NVOs for July were Expeditors International, Blue Anchor America Line, and Christal Lines, respectively, though all three declined in TEUs from June. Expeditors International decreased by nearly 2 percent, Blue Anchor America Line by 1 percent, and Christal Lines by 7 percent. Imports are beginning to pick up to prepare for the holidays, so TEUs are likely to increase with the August report. View every top 100 NVO in July 2015 in the free report linked below.
