The top 100 NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) in June increased in TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent unit) from May by 2.8 percent and another 21.3 percent from June of 2013. Total U.S. imports for June were also up 2.1 percent from May and another 11.5 percent from June of 2013.
The top NVO in terms of U.S. imports for June of 2014 is Expeditors International of Washington. Expeditors processed nearly 37,000 TEUs in June and increased TEU imports from last month by 5.3 percent and another 9.3 percent from June of 2013. Blue Anchor Line processed over 34,000 TEUs and increased imports by 4.0 percent from May and 20 percent from June of last year. Ranked third and fourth for June of 2014 is Christal Lines and Apex Shipping Company. Christal Lines increased from May by 1.8 percent, but Apex Shipping company actually decreased in TEUs by a slight 1 percent.
