The top 100 Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOs) increased in TEUs by 13.82% from April to May of this year, and by 8.83% from May of last year. Year-to-date, TEUs for all NVOs are up 9.15% from last year and up 46% from 2009 figures.
Contributing to the 13.82% increase, as mentioned above, are the 90 of the top 100 NVOs that posted positive growth from April. Additionally, 67 of the top 100 NVOs showed an increase in TEUs from May of 2010. Worth mentioning is Hecny Shipping, ranked at number 13, who showed an impressive 50% growth from May 2010 while also increasing about 20% from April 2011.
