The top 100 NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers) in the United States saw a 7.3% uptick in imports from April, after a strong 33% increase last month. Despite the increase from April, imports compared to last May for the top 100 are down almost 5%. Roughly 25% of the top carriers saw a decrease from April, whereas over 50% saw decreases from last May.
Of the top ten NVOs, Pantainer Express was the lone NVO that saw a decrease in inbound TEUs from April. Honour Lane Shipping and Apex Shipping both posted noteworthy increases from April of 17% and 15%, respectively. Expeditors, the top NVO on our list, increased imports from last month and last year.
