The inbound shipping activity for the top 100 Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOs), measured in TEUs, decreased 1.62% from September to October. The decrease comes after a 10% drop from August to September. On the positive side, TEUs in October increased 3.73% from October of last year. Furthermore, year-to-date TEUs for all NVOs are up nearly 2% from last year and 42% from 2009.
Blue Anchor Line, ranked second on our list, increased inbound TEUs by 5% from September and 11% from October of last year, one of the few that posted such increases. Year-to-date, TEUs for Blue Anchor Line are up nearly 9% while TEUs for Expeditors, ranked number one, are down 0.35%.
