LONDON, April 12, 2010 - As announced today at Containerisation International's Global Liner Shipping Conference, INTTRA, the leading global provider of e-commerce solutions to the ocean freight industry, is pleased to confirm the launching of the first ocean freight invoice transmitted via INTTRA eInvoice, the electronic invoice presentment and payment platform specially designed to meet the needs of the ocean freight industry.
The first transaction processed by INTTRA eInvoice was submitted by CMA CGM (America) LLC today to Golden Bridge International, Inc. (www.goldenbridge-intl.com), a Non Vessel Operating Common Carrier headquartered in City of Industry, California.
"Our experience with the INTTRA team has been very positive and CMA CGM has already seen significant potential cost savings and process improvements to our accounts receivable operations. After the electronic booking, and the electronic bill of lading, the electronic invoice was the next improvement we wanted to provide our clients and we are absolutely delighted to be the first to proceed with electronic invoicing via INTTRA eInvoice," said Philippe Salles, Director of eCommerce at CMA CGM. "Being able to automatically reconcile payments to specific invoices will help improve our service to customers, is much more environmentally friendly and will save considerable time."
Tracy Yang, General Manager of Golden Bridge International said, "Using INTTRA eInvoice we can receive, approve and pay freight invoices electronically with the confidence that transactions are processed securely and in accordance with our specific company procedures. When we need to dispute an invoice or a line item, we can do that easily via INTTRA eInvoice and all the tracking is done for us."
Ken Bloom, Chief Executive Officer of INTTRA added, "Electronic invoice presentment and payment (EIPP) is now available to meet the specialized needs of the ocean freight industry and produce savings. INTTRA is pleased that CMA CGM and Golden Bridge International recognize the benefits of embracing EIPP early in its availability. It's a win-win for all users of the INTTRA eInvoice network."
