The YM Efficiency, a 4,250-TEU full-container vessel built for Yang Ming by CSBC Corporation, Taiwan, was christened and delivered into the YM fleet at a ceremony held
at the Kaohsiung Shipyard of CSBC on Jan. 6, 2009. Meantime, another 8,200-TEU full-container vessel was christened as the YM Utility at her christening ceremony.
Robert Ho, President of Yang Ming, and Mr. Wen-Lon Cheng, Chairman of CSBC, both presided over the christening ceremony. Mrs. Shun-Hua An, wife of Mr. Rong-Guei
Wu, Director of Yang Ming, was invited to be the sponsor of the YM Efficiency. Likewise, Mrs. Chih-Li Mao, wife of Mr. Robert Ho, President of Yang Ming, served as the
sponsor of the YM Utility.
