DES PLAINES, IL – December 3, 2014 - DSC Logistics is pleased to announce that CEO Ann Drake was a recipient of the 2014 Women Who Make a Difference Award given by the International Women’s Forum (IWF).  The award was presented to Drake and eight other exemplary women leaders from across the world at the IWF World Leadership Conference, which took place in Atlanta.   The IWF Women Who Make a Difference Award is a global award that is given to a select number of women who are recognized as exemplary role models for women’s progress and development, demonstrate a track record of outstanding achievements, are highly respected in their professional fields and are publicly recognized for contributions to the community.

“Ann is an extraordinary business leader, a thought leader in her industry, a leader in civic and professional organizations, and a dedicated role model, mentor and proponent for women,” said Sara Sirotzky, president, IWF Chicago.  “IWF Chicago is proud to recognize Ann for her outstanding achievements and we extend congratulations on receiving this well-deserved award. She is truly a woman who has made a difference.”

“I am honored to receive this award,” explained Drake. “By supporting the advancement of women leaders, we can transform businesses, infrastructures, and economies.  I’m grateful that my contribution is making a difference, and I’m thankful for all that the IWF does to inspire and cultivate leadership.”   In addition to serving as CEO of DSC Logistics, Drake is the founder of AWESOME, the initiative for Achieving Women’s Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management, and Education.
