Tri-National Conference will Explore North America’s Energy and Trading Future

EVENT: The Coalition for America’s Gateways and Trade Corridors (CAGTC) will convene the NAFTANEXT Summit to bring together North American public and private sector leaders for discussions on the challenges and opportunities created by increased trade through NAFTA. The Summit will focus on North America’s freight mobility, energy and sustainability future as a trading continent.

WHEN: Tuesday (evening), April 22 – Friday(mid-day), April 25, 2014

WHERE: The Palmer House Hilton Hotel (17 East Monroe Street, Chicago, IL 60603)

DETAILS: Operating as a case study for future international trade opportunities, NAFTA continues to produce results and influence the global marketplace. After 20 years of free trade in North America, much discussion, thought and planning will be needed to produce the next platform for NAFTA success. The NAFTANEXT Summit is a kickoff for the development of this ongoing discussion. Issues to be explored include: impact of international trade agreements on trade corridors; what the NAFTA freight network looks like now and how it will change in the future; how new sources of energy impact supply chains and trade corridor infrastructure; and environmental factors in shipping patterns including increased demand for greener networks.
