- Board Welcomes New Members to its Growing Group of Transportation Leaders -

DENVER, CO, November 12, 2013 – The Intermodal Transportation Institute (ITI) at the University of Denver has recently elected two new members to its esteemed Board of Directors. Elected to three-year terms were Jeffrey S. Heller, Vice President Intermodal and Automotive Marketing for Norfolk Southern Corporation and Frederick M. Hunger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The World Group of Companies, which has a long and diverse history of excellence in international business, including transportation.

Mr. Heller adds more than 30 years of rail industry experience to the ITI Board of Directors. Currently he is charged with the responsibly for six business divisions and subsidiary companies for the Norfolk Southern Corporation. Since beginning his career in 1980, Heller has held various sales and marketing management positions in container shipping and intermodal, both in the US and abroad. Mr. Heller holds a Bachelor of Science in marketing and transportation distribution management from the Syracuse University’s School of Management. He also attended Executive Management Programs at the Harvard Business School, Duke University Fuqua Business School, and the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Administration.

Frederick M. Hunger brings approximately 25 years of intermodal insight and expertise to the ITI Board of Directors. Since 1995, as Chairman and CEO of The World Group of Companies, he has been responsible for leading the activities of all operating units within the group that employs more than 575 professionals and has expertise in many areas of the intermodal industry. He is a 1985 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and management. He received his MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in 1990.
