March 2009 - Intralox was recently honored with a 2009 European FoodTec Award in the category of “food safety, security, and quality management.” The European FoodTec Awards, sponsored in part by the European Federation of Food Science and Technology (EFFoST), recognize food industry processing companies and suppliers that have developed products that contribute significantly to improving functions or processes.

Intralox received the Silver Medal award for its well-reputed line of hygienic conveyance solutions, which includes Series 850 and Series 1650 SeamFree™ modular plastic conveyor belts and other hygienic conveyor components such as Angled Sprockets and cleaning systems. The Silver Medal is awarded for existing products that have undergone further development to achieve a significant improvement in function or process.

Over recent years, Intralox EZ Clean products have afforded substantial hygiene improvements in food processing by increasing cleaning effectiveness and efficiency. Each product is carefully designed, following years of extensive studies at different plants, to respond to the specific sanitation challenges that food manufacturer's face.
The Intralox EZ Clean family of products includes the following:
▪ Non-porous, non-absorbent plastic belts with an innovative SeamFree design; feature up to 75% fewer hinges than other belts
▪ Angled EZ Clean Sprockets that allow cleaning access to 100% of the belt underside at the sprockets
▪ The EZ Clean In Place System, featuring a custom-engineered spray pattern to thoroughly clean the belt underside sprockets, and shafts

Intralox EZ Clean solutions reduce requirements for cleaning time, water, and labor. By installing such products as SeamFree belting, Angled EZ Clean Sprockets, and the EZ Clean In Place System, processors have benefited from increased production time, higher efficiency, and lower operating costs throughout the processing line.
