CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.—April 6, 2011 (James Street Media Services)—Kenco, a leading provider of logistics, transportation, real estate services, and material handling equipment, has announced the executive promotion of Jason Minghini to senior director of best practices. His previous title was director of operations.

In his new role Jason will lead strategic direction and oversight to the areas of quality management and engineering.

“This appointment is evidence of our dedication to operational excellence and continuous improvement,” said Scott Mayfield, president of Kenco Management Services. “Jason fully understands the value of the ‘quality culture’ at Kenco and he is ideally suited to demonstrate—company-wide—that ‘best practices’ require constant refinement.”

Jason joined Kenco in 2007 as a senior logistics engineer, and most recently was appointed director of operations. He participated in various operational excellence engineering projects at Kenco, including the implementation of Lean Six Sigma across the organization. Prior to joining Kenco Jason worked with Modern Industries (a division of Leggett & Platt), and Racemark International, two leading automotive market suppliers. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology; is a licensed lead auditor for ISO/TS 16949; a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt; and a senior member of the American Society for Quality.

Kenco recently released its first Corporate Responsibility Report, which addresses the Kenco approach to quality management and quality culture. (
