Storehouse Trading Inc. dba Imperial Railport is a bi-national rail trans-loading, warehousing and distribution facility in Imperial County, California. Our services offer considerable savings shipping commodities such as wood, steel, aggregate, agriculture, fresh and frozen food products, plastic pellets and non-hazardous minerals. Logistics via rail to the growing export market of Baja California, mainland Mexico, and the nearby regions of San Diego and Yuma.
 
Imperial Railport operates on a 90 acre facility, track #777, at 340 W. Ralph Road, Imperial CA, along the Union Pacific Railroad. The property includes 290,000 square feet of warehouse space and 1,900,000 square feet (43.6 acres) of outdoor paved parking and is completely secured by fence and two guard gates.
 
Imperial Railport can trans-load 120 rail cars per month, replacing 500 truckloads.
 
Imperial Railport’s lower logistical costs will help industries profit from growing demand and more stable conditions in Mexico. For example, fortuitously, 2014 was an all-time record for softwood lumber export to Mexico, reaching $160 million and exceeding all other categories of forest product exports to this market. Mike Ortega, with 41 years of experience in the rail industry, has joined Imperial Railport’s marketing team. He has served as Director of Rail Industrial Development for the Western United States for RailAmerica, and ATSF Railway. Mike will lead the customer service team in business development and will reach out to over 812 companies and maquiladoras in Tijuana, Ensenada, Tecate, Mexicali and San Luis RC.
 
Union Pacific Railroad and Union Pacific Distribution Services provide Imperial Railport with connections that provide customers with seamless rail service from origin to destination.
